In the Wild West outlaws were quick to draw a weapon, often turning to an old fashioned pistol duel to settle disputes. The pair would meet at a particular time and place, walk ten paces and draw! The fastest on the trigger would win. On Friday, October 13, Stoke’s Executive Chef Chris Coleman and Loft & Cellar’s Chef Nicolas Daniels will test their mettle in the first Ten Paces Dinner Series hosted at Stoke.
At the appointed hour, both chefs will draw their knives to create a five-course dinner menu, vying for the guests’ votes to name the winner. Each chef will pitch dishes to the crowd and whoever “sells” the most plates wins the course. The chef who wins three or more courses wins the competition. Chef Coleman will showcase his acclaimed wood-fired cooking against Chef Daniels’ international flavors.
Although the menu will remain top secret until the showdown, guests can expect to see exciting preparations of seafood, poultry, meat and more.
