There Was A Time: Rock & Roll In The 1960s In Charlotte, And North Carolina is the first ever book on the Garage Rock and Psychedelic Rock & Roll scene in North Carolina during the 1960s. Interviews with many of the top musicians in North Carolina, and details on the singles, and albums that came from North Carolina during that decade. The book details the Charlotte scene, while also covering what was going on throughout the state.
Daniel Coston is a music writer and photographer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. During his career he has photographed musicians like Johnny Cash, Wilco, Ryan Adams, Lucinda Williams, Whiskeytown, Superchunk, Tift Merritt & The Carbines and more.
