Concord, North Carolina-based folk rock band The Avett Brothers kicked off their nationwide tour with a performance making up a cancelled date for Willie Nelson in Charlotte on June 20.

On Saturday night, they mysteriously cancelled their show at Edgefield Concerts on the Lawn in Oregon when a man apparently roamed through the venue with a firearm. The man who was said to be an out-of-state police officer flashed his badge, but failed to have managers of the venue confirm his entrance. The cancellation was originally declared due to sound troubles, but that seemed to have been a diversion method.

Over 2,000 concert-goers were in attendance and left the venue safely as no significant incidents were reported.

Looks like they will be making up the date in the near future which was the third night of a 3-show run at the Troutdale, Oregon venue. Check out the remaining 2018 tour dates for The Avett Brothers.
