One of the world’s largest independent music platforms, Bandcamp will be donating all of their proceeds from sales today to the American Civil Liberties Union in reaction to a recent executive order banning people from seven majority Muslim countries from traveling or immigrating to the United States. Founder and CEO Ethan Diamond said in a letter, “Last week’s Executive Order barring immigrants and refugees from seven Middle Eastern countries from entering the United States is not simply immoral, it violates the very spirit and foundation of America.”

In addition to Bandcamp’s announcement, several indie record labels have followed suit including Merge (Benji Hughes, Mountain Goats), Sub Pop (Father John Misty, Fleet Floxes, Beach House), Kill Rock Stars (The Decemberists, Elliot Smith), Epitaph (Weezer, Bad Religion), Run for Cover (Pinegrove), and many more.

We thought this would be a great opportunity to support some awesome Charlotte bands.
