Breakaway, the second-year music festival curated and organized by the Ohio-based entertainment company Prime Social Group announced their initial lineup in early July which included GRiZ, Louis The Child, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Skies, Hoodie Allen, Lil Pump, and more. Today, the festival announced they’ll be adding popular Pittsburgh rap artist Wiz Khalifa, mega-hit “Lucid Dreams” Chicago rapper/singer Juice WRLD, EDM artist Frank Walker, and Charlotte DJ, A HUF. “We’re proud to announce the additions to the Breakaway lineup. This is going to be one of the biggest music festivals to hit Charlotte and we’re super excited to bring it to the city,” said Prime Social Market Manager, Preston Abernathy.
The festival will also expand to two days this year with updated production and multiple stages on October 12 and 13 at the same location. In addition to the updated lineup and production, the event will also include a local craft beer garden that will feature NoDa Brewing, Lenny Boy, Hoppin’, and more. There will also be more vendors this year with yoga, silent disco, and on-site brand-sponsored experiences.
