Tickets: $25 plus 

The Homegrown Tomato Festival is an annual fundraising event benefiting 100 Gardens, a Charlotte, NC based non-profit that implements aquaponics farming in schools, institutions and communities of need to provide hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). All proceeds from the Homegrown Tomato Festival go directly to support the mission and work of 100 Gardens. 

The event will feature:

The Homegrown Tomato Competition: Backyard gardeners will bring their best tasting tomatoes and
compete for the “People’s Choice” award voted on by attendees.

Tomato Cocktail Competition: Local mixologists will compete to win the “People’s Choice” award for the best tasting “garden inspired” cocktail.

Contestants: Yunta Nikkei, Supperland, The Artisan’s Palate and Hattie’s Tap and Tavern

Culinary Showcase: Chefs from Charlotte-area restaurants will provide samples of their favorite garden and tomato inspired dishes.

Participating Restaurants: Fern: Flavors from the Garden, Golden Owl Tavern and Roots Cafe

Aquaponics Display: CMS students will guide an aquaponics experience with live fish and plants,
demonstrating the 100 Gardens impact in our schools.

Vendors: Guests can shop from local, artisan vendors and farmers.

ToniAnn Organics, Molly Poe’s Party Pickles, Charlotte Jerky, Defiant Sauce, Dr. O.J’s Organic Juice, Nessy’s Natural, Pollynation Apothecary, Megs Mustard, Dover Vineyards, Squeeze, Stink Ass Soap, Queen’s Orders Honey, Legacy Body, and Roots Farm.

Tomato Sandwiches: Attendees can enjoy the world’s best tomato sandwiches
made with locally grown tomatoes.

Live Music: A performance by Those Meddling Kids.

Tickets options: 

General Admission – $25 (includes access to the event, a tomato sandwich and tasty tomato samples from local growers)

VIP Experience – $45 (includes access to the event, a tomato sandwich, tasty tomato samples from local growers, access to the local chefs and mixologist tastings)
