Unleash your inner artist and create a masterpiece with the aid of a specially trained teaching artist who will guide you through the process step-by-step. There are two sessions that you can attend, one at 5:30 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m. Each session costs $20 and includes all materials
Inspired by Charlotte-born African-American artist, Romare Bearden’s, Mille Fleurs (A Thousand Flowers) tapestry, guests will be able to create their own unique bouquet of tropical blossoms.
Drop by the Watercolor Summer Scenes art activity in the lobby, taking place throughout the evening where guest will have the opportunity to create a personal masterpiece. Be sure to grab the speciality drink of the night, the Cuba Libre.
The artwork on view at the Bechtler is meant to be shared with the entire community, and the museum delivers on that commitment by opening the galleries for free to the public every third Friday of the month. Combine that with interactive art activities, games, live entertainment and a full bar and you’ve got Bechtler By Night.
