The Charlotte Checkers kick off their 2023-24 season against the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins at Bojangles’ Coliseum. In the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the American Hockey League (AHL), the Checkers are the minor league affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers. The Checkers are coming off a 39-25 season, ranking third in the Atlantic Division in 2022-23.
