Since 1978, the Charlotte Yiasou Greek Festival has showcased authentic Greek cuisine, homemade pastries, entertainment, live music, dancing, wine tastings, art, shopping, and more. The annual event has grown to be one of Charlotte’s largest cultural events.
Food is the main attraction at the Yiasou Festival and they offer three options to enjoy the authentic Greek cuisine.
Full Sit Down Meal – Inside the food hall, they offer baked chicken, lamb, fish, and Pastichio combination plates which include Spanakopita, Dolmada, and a side salad. They also have a large Greek salad plate. Drinks are included with the full plated meals.
A La Carte – Outside in the tents, you can get Gyro or Chicken Pita sandwiches, French Fries, Pizza, Spanakopita, Tiropita, and more. Also available outside are soft drinks, water, beer and wine.
Drive-Thru – Drive up on Winthrop Avenue between East Blvd. and E. Worthington Avenue offers combination dinner plates, pita sandwiches and assorted pastry boxes.
