Coyote Island is the reggae folk-rock musical project of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mike O’Hehir. His 2023 album, Holy Illusion, features Grammy-nominated artists Matisyahu and Blvk H3ro, along with guest collaborations from Surfer Girl, Mihali, and Ghanaian singer-songwriter Abitemi.
Hustle Souls are a retro-soul band from Asheville that blends New Orleans brass music and Americana into their own unique sound. The group consists of bandleader Billy Litz, Justice Mann (vocals, trombone), Kevin Scott (drums), Reid Parler (guitar), and Jonathon Taylor (bass). With a lively B3 organ, trumpet, trombone, and three-part harmonies, their music has been described as a “generation-jumping mashup” and “intimate soul… with a Curtis Mayfield-like warmth.”
