Austin blues-rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Gary Clark Jr. performs at Ovens Auditorium following the release of his latest album, JPEG RAW, in 2024. Clark released his major-label debut studio album, Blak and Blu, in 2012 and won three Grammys for his 2019 album, This Land, including Best Contemporary Blues Album, Best Rock Performance, and Best Rock Song. JPEG RAW blends blues, rock, and jazz, featuring collaborations with Valerie June on “Don’t Start,” Stevie Wonder on “What About the Children,” and George Clinton on “Funk Witch U.”
Danielle Ponder is an R&B/soul singer-songwriter from Rochester, New York, who worked as a public defender for several years before pursuing music full-time. Her debut album, Some of Us Are Brave (2022), explores themes of justice, love, and self-empowerment and received critical acclaim.
