Grand Marquis navigates the American Roots waterways, opting to stick mainly to the banks of Kansas City blues, Memphis soul, and the second line funk of New Orleans. The group has been a staple of the Kansas City music scene for over 20 years and continues to put out new and relevant records. After landing a national tour in 2004, they attracted the attention of a broader audience, which eventually led to them becoming finalists in the 2012 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Their record “Blues and Trouble” was recognized by the same competition as one of the best self-produced records of 2014. Opening for bands such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Preservation Hall, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and many more have given them the opportunity to bring their music to a broader music audience.
Hustle Souls is an Asheville, NC based soul band; “Their blend of jazz, pop, and rock is inventive and captivating. Their lines are on point and their sound is tight, creating space for Billy Litz’s rabbit hole musicianship. And you can **** dance to it. Friday night was a revelation, I’m already looking forward to the next one.” – Caleb Calhoun Hustle Souls is currently touring in support of their 2018 release “Color” produced by Gold and Platinum producer, Eric “Mixerman” Sarafin (Ben Harper, Barenaked Ladies, Pharcyde etc.)
