Gwar is a heavy metal band formed in Richmond, Virginia composed of a rotating line-up of musicians, artists and filmmakers. Founding member and frontman Dave Brockie passed away in 2014, but the band continues to tour. They have released thirteen studio albums and two live albums, selling over 820,000 records in the U.S. Gwar released their latest album, The New Dark Ages, on June 3, 2022.
