Grammy Award-winning artist Hayley Williams has announced her first headlining solo tour. The North American leg will begin on May 28 at Seattle’s Moore Theatre and come to Charlotte on June 15 to The Fillmore. Arlo Parks will support Hayley Williams on all US dates.
“The first run of shows is going to be hot, sweaty, and intimate. My brand-newly-formed band and I will be playing rooms that Paramore outgrew a decade ago. It’s going to be so satisfying to feel the energy of a crowd that close again, especially while performing songs that feel so vital for me; songs I have never performed before for an audience,” Williams communicated in a press release.
The tour celebrates Williams’ debut solo album, Petal For Armor, due out on Friday, May 8. Her highly-anticipated solo project has been met with critical applause. The New York Times writes “an eclectic, unexpected, ambitious solo project let the singer and songwriter exorcise demons and stretch her creative powers.”
Arlo Parks is a British indie-pop singer-songwriter and poet from South London best known for her 2019 single “Cola.” She’s released two EP’s, Super Sad Generation in April of 2019 and Sophie, in December of 2019.
