The Juneteenth Celebration draws over 5,500 notable dignitaries, elected officials, and young professionals featuring live music, performances, educational exhibits, guest appearances, activities, and more.
Thursday, June 13, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Children ages 4-16 are invited to participate in the popular Cultural Camp at Elizabeth Traditional Elementary School in Charlotte (1601 Park Dr, Charlotte, NC 28204). Children will engage in a true cultural experience from making crafts, jewelry, tie dying, performing skits and much more. Bring a t-shirt for the tie-dye class!
Friday, June 14, 6-10 p.m. – Join the Drum Circle featuring Gary Mumford and DrumStrong. The drum circle attracts drummers and dance enthusiasts of all ethnicities from around the the world.
Festival activities take place on Saturday, June 15th 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 16th 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
