Blumenthal Performing Arts presents the 2nd annual Juneteenth Jam! at Victoria Yards in Uptown Charlotte. The Juneteenth Jam! celebrates freedom for all with interactive art, live music, and Black history. Curated by Emmy Award-winning poet and Blumenthal’s Director of Creative Engagements, Boris “Bluz” Rogers, Juneteenth Jam! educates and entertains by bringing together local artists, speakers, food trucks, and small businesses. Family-friendly activities will range from interactive Afro-Brazilian dance workshops to a block party-style concert. Sua Casa will also host a Capoeira and Samba workshop on Friday, June 17 at Bechtler Museum of Modern Art.
