Legendary soul singer and Wilson, North Carolina native Lee Fields will premiere his documentary, Faithful Man, at Charlotte Film Festival on Saturday night with a special Q&A following the screening.
Directed by Jessamyn Ansary and Joyce Mishaan, the 79-minute documentary takes us through Fields’ musical journey starting in the ’70s where he toured alongside some of the greatest names in blues and soul music, landing a gig with Kool & the Gang before their rise to fame. Watch never-before-seen performances of new and classic Lee Fields songs, exploring his memories of 50 years of music history.
Fields will also embark on a fall tour in support of his new album, Sentimental Fool, scheduled to be released on October 28, through Daptone Records.
