The 4th episode of this season of OrderFire will feature Ana Shellem of Shell’em Seafood Co. and an oyster roast. Shellem will be bringing over 1000 Wild NC oysters to be roasted with some great sauces and Free Range Brewing will be debuting an oyster stout beer collaboration, Sea of Companions, they made with the oysters. There will also be having a raffle with prizes of shellfish goodie bags and special dinners. All proceeds from the oyster roast and raffle will be benefiting the Community Culinary School of Charlotte.
Among Shellem’s first clients was Top Chef alumni Chef Keith Rhodes of Catch restaurant in Wilmington. She has forged relationships across the state, and delivers products to Rhubarb and Cucina 24 in Asheville, Heirloom, Fin and Fino and The Stanley in Charlotte. On the coast, her shellfish is served at Ceviche’s, East at the Blockade Runner, Surf House, Wrightsville Beach Brewery, The Second Glass, Benny’s Big Time Pizzeria, and True Blue Butcher & Table.
The Oyster Roast kicks off the fun on Sunday starting at noon. A suggested $10 donation will get you an order of six wild NC oysters and choice of three sauces.
