Plaza Midwood’s annual Fall Crawl and Cankerworm Festival is set for Saturday, October 28, and this year will be better than ever.
The neighborhood is attacked by a swarm of cankerworms falling from tree limbs each year. This is your chance to keep the little worms off your clothes and out of your trees. PMNA will be selling all the tools you’ll need to wrap your own trees at a bare minimum price and you can pick it all up at Fall Crawl.
11:30 to noon: Kids’ costume parade (parents and pups are welcome, too). March from Midwood Park to The Vine, with a chance to show off your kids’ cool costumes and mingle with neighbors.
Noon: Trunk or Treat at The Vine. A safe, fun way to trick or treat.
12:30 to 6 p.m.: Fun in the park
Roman’s Treats Food truck out for some great eats, plus cool treats from Two Scoops Creamery.
Live music on stage in Midwood Park:
12:30 – 1:30 p.m.: Plaza Family Band
2:00 – 3:00 p.m.: Grant Funderburk
3:30 – 4:30 p.m.: Run Engine
5:00 – 6:00 p.m.: Yummy Jelly
Beers from Birdsong Brewery will be on tap. All proceeds go directly to the PMNA general fund to help pay for great projects like neighborhood beautification and our new dog waste stations.
There will be fun for the kids, too, including bounce houses and games and the Inaugural PMNA Corn Hole Tournament. Tons of local vendors out at the park.
