March 28, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The Last Pig Screening

Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Free Range Brewing
2320 N Davidson St.
Charlotte, NC 28205

Tickets: $10

Be one of the first people to see The Last Pig, a beautiful film that explores what it means to be a sentient creature with the power to kill. Deeply immersive, the film follows a pig farmer through his final year of slaughtering pigs. Through sparse, intimate musings, the farmer reveals the growing conflict of a life spent “peddling in death.”

The screening will be followed by a moderated panel of experts in animal welfare, health, environment, and economics.

The panelists are as follows:

Moderator: Julia Simon, Founder, Owner, and Executive Chef of Nourish.

  • Kelsey Joseph, Charlotte Grassroots Coordinator of The Humane League
  • Gaurav Sachdev, MD, Trauma Surgeon
  • Brandon Jones, Director of Technical Programs of Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation
  • Curt Albright, Managing Member of Clear Current Capital

Each ticket includes snacks, such as vegan cheesecake, and all ticket sale proceeds will be donated to The Humane League. Additional food and beverage will be available for purchase.
