The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in partnership with CLTure has announced the return of We’ve Got The Jazz Fest on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at the Bechtler. This family-friendly event will showcase jazz culture and its influences in the Charlotte community. The event will feature music by Harvey Cummings Project, The X Men, Greg Cox, Groove 8, Brut Beat, Bria Alexander and more.
This all-day event runs from noon until 6 p.m. and will feature live performances from several local bands across two stages (both indoors and out); hands-on art activities, local vendors, food trucks like Papi Queso and What The Fries, and a cash/credit bar.
In addition, We’ve Got The Jazz Fest will partner with the Charlotte Hornets to bring mascot Hugo along with The Baring’s Book Bus. During select hours, Hugo will be accepting new and gently used Elementary level books from participants to benefit Promising Pages. As a thank you, those who donate their gently used books will receive a signed Hugo sticker and a small Hornets souvenir.
Created by CLTure and the Bechtler, We’ve Got the Jazz Fest will bring the arts to unexpected places by sharing the joy of jazz music to our community in uptown Charlotte.
The event will begin at noon and continue until 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art at Levine Center for the Arts, 420 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
Tickets are $8 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
