Woody is a budding indie rock band from Charlotte, consisting of members John Carstarphen (formerly of New Creatures) on guitar and vocals, William Schoonmaker on guitar, John Muhlbach on drums, and River Dawson on bass. Their debut EP, Sardine King, released in March, showcases the band’s ability to craft engaging songs with intricate arrangements blending rock, folk, and alternative country. Woody released three singles in 2024: “Lawn Chair,” “Microwave,” and “Davie’s 1st.”
Mantra is a four-piece indie alternative rock band from Charleston, led by Ben Patrick (guitar, vocals) and Noah James (piano). The band released their debut album, Quarterlife, recorded by Wolfgang Zimmerman (Susto, Brave Baby, Band of Horses) in September.
Willingdon is a Charlotte-based indie rock band formed in 2021, consisting of vocalist and bassist Mike MacManamy, drummer and producer Alex Vasilly, lead guitarist Jackson Miller, and bassist Cohen Malz.
