J. Cole has teamed up with fellow North Carolina artist and producer King Mez on his latest music video for the song “Middle Child.” King Mez, most recognized for his work with Dr. Dre on his 2015 album Compton, brings an array of dark imagery on the fierce song for his music video directorial debut. The visuals arrive after J. Cole’s captivating All-Star Weekend halftime performance in Charlotte, and in anticipation of a big year for his label Dreamville.
In addition to the North Carolina duo, Charlotte’s own Lute makes a cameo while longtime J. Cole music director Scott Lazer is credited for creative direction.
