Fairy House Festival (Family Friendly Event)

Fairies bring joy and magic to children of all ages and they need places to live. At this festival, you can build your very own fairy house for a fairy in need. Get back to the roots of nature and learn all there is to know about fairies. Dress as your favorite fairy, gnome, or other magical creature.
Cupid’s Undie Run (Charity Event)
February 13, 12 PM – 4 PM at Suite
Last month, hundreds of people rode the light rail and buses in their underwear to raise awareness for homelessness. This month, you can run 1.5 miles in your bedroom best to raise money for The Children’s Tumor Foundation. Team up with your bravest bosom buddies or participate solo, either way you’ll be rewarded for the effort with some cool swag.
Big Mamma’s House of Burlesque Presents: Valentease

It’s time to grab your friends and lovers, and get your heart on with the award-winning Big Mamma D and her troupe of sexy sirens. Their annual dedication to love, lust, and hedonism will feature plenty of steamy fun and surprises.

Science on the Rocks: Fire & Ice

Science on the Rocks is becoming the coolest party in town. This month it adds some heat to the cool for their monthly party. You will also have the chance to tour the Body Worlds exhibit or experience the IMAX feature, Pandas: The Journey Home. Grab your hot friends and enjoy some cool drinks while learning science!
Geektopia: Geek Fiction

ADMISSION only $10 – $5 in costume
This got pushed back from last month after Snowmageddon hit Charlotte.
Put on your best suit (dress or track) and grab your dancing shoes for this tribute party to the works of Quentin Tarantino. There will be music by DJs Jules Winfield & Vincent Vega as well as live music from the Pulp Fiction soundtrack by Dub Sea. If you consider yourself a Tarantino aficionado, then you can prove it in a trivia contest. You might even be able to grab yourself a “Royale with Cheese” while there.
Harry Potter Science Saturday
February 27, 10 AM – 2 PM at Museum of York County
Are you a Potterphile and ever wondered if the magic is possible? Could an owl really deliver the mail? Apparate down to Rock Hill and the curators will help answer some of these questions. Other topics include endangered animals and taste buds, both with a Harry Potter twist. A planetarium show features stars and constellations that share names with Harry Potter characters. This will be the last weekend of their Owls Only exhibit. The museum store will also have wands for sale.
Mystic’s Ball: Steampunk Society
February 27, 8 PM at Visulite Theatre 21 & up
Tickets: $15.00 (Advance) / $20.00
The Mystics invite you to join them in exploring the alternate history of sci-fi technology in this installment of their sexy costume ball. Corsets, bustles, and laser guns, clockwork contraptions and Victorian sensibilities, Wild West wonderment and retro-futuristic creativity. What weirdness will you bring to the party? Fancy dress is required and there will be a contest for Dapper Gents and Well Dressed Women. Buckle up and put the steam on for this high-falutin’ shindig.
