The Charlotte Civic Orchestra presents Images ‘n Sound: Slam Poetry and Beethoven, featuring National Champion SlamCharlotte poets Sidekick, Ed Mabrey, and Bluz. They will perform their poems as part of the premier of Dean Kluesner’s new work, The Voice Says! This performance is an unusual collaboration, incorporating the excitement of a poetry slam with the power of the symphony orchestra. Dr. Geoffrey Whitehead will also conduct the orchestra in a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, the Pastoral.
