Portugal. The Man has sold out The Fillmore for their October 27 show at the NC Music Factory. Since their most recent album Woodstock was released in June, Portugal. The Man has become quite a radio sensation with leading singles “Feel It Still” and “Number One” this summer. Accompanying the headliner, hailing from Rochester, New York is Maybird as well as Norwegian rapper, Lido.

Woodstock is Portugal. The Man’s eighth album and comes after almost four years since Evil Friends was released in 2013. While the band had been working on an extensive and practically finished record, Gloomin + Doomin, they decided to reassess and craft Woodstock after lead vocalist and guitarist John Gourley found his father’s old ticket stub from the original 1969 Woodstock festival.

For most Portugal. The Man fans, Woodstock seems to be a dive into the deep end of their earlier days. Still, the transition is imaginative and versatile, bringing old and new sounds together.

Maybird, led by founding member Josh Netsky who rocks guitar and vocals, is touring to support their latest release, Unraveling. With four short stimulating yet relaxing songs, Maybird takes you on a sweet and psychedelic ride.

Peder Losnegård, better known by his stage name Lido, will be an addition to the opening act. Lido entered the Norwegian rap scene back in 2009 with his single “G’on be Gone.” His most recent release “Not Enough” kicks an old school late 80s vibe that has received a lot of attention for bringing the sounds of New Jack Swing to 2017.

Portugal. The Man, Maybird, and Lido are a combination of sounds and beats that will be a hell of a show tonight at The Fillmore.
