Southern Tiger Collective, the Charlotte-based arts organization founded by Alex DeLarge and Dustin Moates has secured a new location. After being displaced this month following a long dispute with their landlords in NoDa, the collective is anticipating the opening of their new location in South End at 3520 Dewitt Ln. in early August. The new 3,000-plus sq. ft. space is located behind Red Clay Ciderworks and will offer an intimate outdoor area with ample wall space for art.

The collective also has a new event in the works, a provocative “Kama” art show featuring famed North Carolina muralist Jeks, Dustin Moates, Alex DeLarge, Aubrey Hedrick, CHEEKS, Kat Sanchez Stanfield, and more. While many of the details are being finalized, the show will respect social distancing practices by opening several sessions throughout the day with limited capacity and thorough cleaning in between shows. They will be announcing the full details for the art show in the coming days.

While moving into the more expensive location, Southern Tiger Collective has also been running a raffle on an impressive Notorious B.I.G. art piece to help raise funds for the new space and the artists. The six-foot tall wood painting by Alex DeLarge is cut by Jason Lee Parker, and also features a back-lit LED strip that is battery operated.
