Back in April, alt-country rock sensation, Sturgill Simpson made an appearance on the “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” to promote his new album, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth. During that show, Simpson and Colbert agreed to pitch a song to Waffle House, since most locations include a jukebox with a collection of songs specifically about the 61 year old southern restaurant chain.

Last night, Stephen Colbert shared his memories about a Waffle House in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina and revealed that Waffle House did indeed accept their pitch for the original song collaboration, “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Knuckleheads” to be in their jukebox.
