NoDa Asian Food Truck Rally to Celebrate AAPI Month with Neighborhood’s Largest Gathering of Asian Food Vendors on May 18

CLTure is partnering with the Carolinas Asian American Chamber of Commerce, Crown Station, Divine Barrel Brewing, CLT Asian Eats, and MELO THC Seltzer to host the largest Asian food truck rally in NoDa, celebrating AAPI Month and supporting local businesses in Charlotte on Sunday, May 18 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The NoDa Asian Food Truck Rally is a free, family- and dog-friendly block party taking place along the 3600-3700 block of North Davidson Street, featuring food from Cutting Board CLT, Chutney Cat, Dumpling Girls, Noom Yai, Blasian Asian Way, VJ’s Chicken Inasal, Deejai Thai NoDa, and Don’s Jamaican Kitchen.

In addition, dessert and drink vendors will include Japanese cream puffs from Beard Papa’s, boba tea from Tsaôcaa Tea, fresh-squeezed sugar cane juice by Sugarcane Co., rolled ice cream by Creamy Rolls, and micheladas by Sagrada Michelada.

Attendees will also enjoy vintage video games by The Gaming Lounge CLT — including classics like 007 GoldenEye, Contra, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, and SSX — beach-style airbrush trucker hats by Abel Jackson, a pop-up record shop by VnylWrks, vintage clothing from Smoken Clothing, a silk marbling station by Culture Palette, and more fun surprises. Charlotte artist HNin Nie will have works from her recent art show, In This Together, on display at Crown Station, with proceeds from art sales going directly toward her medical expenses.

The NoDa Asian Food Truck Rally is free and open to the public, taking over the complex between Divine Barrel Brewing, Crown Station, and Deejai Thai NoDa (3600-3700 North Davidson Street) from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 18. Follow the Facebook event page for updates and announcements.
