Earlier this month, Betty White, one of America’s most beloved comedians and actors, best known for her role as Rose in The Golden Girls, announced a nationwide 100th birthday celebration in partnership with Fathom Events.

On December 31, the iconic figure and television trailblazer passed away at the age of 99 just weeks before her 100th birthday.

The event will still take place in almost 900 movie theaters across the country on Monday, January 17, 2022. With exclusive footage and access provided to filmmakers Steve Boettcher and Mike Trinklein, the documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at White’s life as an actress, comedian and animal advocate. Filmed at her actual birthday party, the documentary features special guests Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Jay Leno, Carol Burnett, and many more.

According to the press release, the documentary will include clips from The Golden Girls, Saturday Night Live (one of the highest rated SNL episodes ever), commercials, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and many more of her career highlights including a lost episode from one of White’s early sitcoms from the ’50s.
