Coming off the release of his debut studio album, Can’t Rush Greatness, British rapper Central Cee will be heading out on an expansive world tour, coming to Charlotte to perform at The Fillmore on May 18. The Shepherd’s Bush, London drill rapper, who rose to prominence in 2020 with his singles “Day in the Life” and “Loading,” released his first mixtape, Wild West, in 2021, and his follow-up, 23, in 2023, which debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. His 2023 collab with fellow British rapper Dave, “Sprinter,” was his first No. 1 single in the UK, and the longest-running rap song on the charts in UK history.
Central Cee’s “Band4Band” featuring Lil Baby, is also the highest-charting UK rap single on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut studio album, Can’t Rush Greatness, was released on January 24 and features Skepta, 21 Savage, Dave, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and Young Miko. Earlier this month, he released a music video for the single “GBP” (featuring 21 Savage) from the new album, directed by Cole Bennett.
This will be the second time Central Cee will perform in Charlotte, following his opening set for Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour in 2023. The artist presale for the tour will start on Wednesday, January 29 at 10 a.m. (code: SEEYOUTHERE) and tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, January 31 at 10 a.m.
