Their most recent studio album, Should’ve Learned By Now (2023), earned praise from Pitchfork and Paste Magazine, and they followed it with an acoustic project in early 2025. They’ll be joined by indie folk-rock artist Jessica Lea Mayfield, who is touring in support of her new EP, Choose Myself, released in April.

Georgia pop-punk band Cartel was formed in 2003, at the height of the MTV era. The band gained prominence with their 2005 debut album, Chroma, which featured the hit singles “Honestly” and “Say Anything (Else).” Their second album, Cartel (2007), was notably recorded during MTV’s “Band in a Bubble” experiment, in which the band was confined to a transparent structure for 20 days to write and record the album while being streamed live online. They have since released several albums, including Cycles (2009) and Collider (2013). After a period of relative quiet, Cartel returned in 2022 with the singles “17” and “The End.” In 2025, the band announced a re-recorded version of Chroma to celebrate its 20th anniversary, featuring guest vocals from Cassadee Pope.
