If you missed the sold-out production of A Soulful Noel at McGLOHON Theater on December 18, by the Charlotte based theatre company On Q Performing Arts, it’s ok.
The collection of talented performers, poets, and musicians put together an outstanding Christmas themed compilation album, led by Quentin Talley, with acclaimed spoken word poet, Bluz, Devin Brice (keyboard and guitar), Courtney Gibson (bass), and Tim Scott Jr. (drums). The 9 song album is a soulful, funky and jazzy interpretation of several classic holiday songs that also incorporates some splendid spoken word poetry. If you are not yet in the holiday spirit, this album, which also serves as a fundraiser for the 501c(3) non-profit arts organization, ON Q Performing Arts, will surely put you in the mood.
