Netflix has announced the official date for season 3 of Cobra Kai. The continuation of the original Karate Kid films that takes place 30 years after the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, the series finds Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) as a successful businessman, while his adversary Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) seeks redemption reopening the Cobra Kai dojo.
In a strange role reversal, it’s difficult at times to decipher the “good guy” and “bad guy” in Cobra Kai as Lawrence’s down-and-out nature is easy to sympathize with and Larusso’s history in the films is so likable. When you add in family drama and the next generation of karate enthusiasts mixed with the sweet nostalgia of the ‘80s, Cobra Kai is a strikingly entertaining series.
As Kreese says, “The story is just beginning.” Season 3 premieres January 8, 2021 only on @Netflix.
And gear up because Season 4 is officially training to join the fight.
