Coming off Monday night’s 119-101 loss to the Warriors, the Hornets will look to bounce back and get a much-needed win against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Hornets have dropped 10 of their last 11 games, and this will be the third in a five-game homestand.
Miles Bridges scored 35 points in the loss Monday night, adding nine rebounds on 11-of-20 shooting, while LaMelo Ball’s woes continued with six turnovers. Ball has shot 34.1% from the field since the All-Star break, although he added 25 points against the Warriors.
The Hornets will need answers against the Timberwolves’ defense, which is a top-five team in opponent points per game (109.1). The Timberwolves, who are currently seventh in the Western Conference standings, are coming off a 126-112 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Hornets and Timberwolves have split their last four games, with Minnesota winning the most recent contest 114-93, led by Naz Reid, who made five three-pointers and scored 25 points in the game back in November.
