The Hornets will face the New York Knicks for the third and final time of the 2024-25 season at Spectrum Center on Thursday night. Charlotte is coming off a brutal 134-102 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, playing without most of their key players, including LaMelo Ball (right wrist soreness) and Miles Bridges (illness), who are listed as probable for the Knicks game. Trae Young scored 31 points, while Dyson Daniels added 22 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists as Atlanta dominated the short-handed Hornets on Tuesday night, completing a four-game season sweep. DaQuan Jeffries and Seth Curry each scored 19 points for Charlotte, whose injury woes continued as center Moussa Diabate exited with a lower-body injury late in the game.

The Knicks are currently third in the Eastern Conference standings at 43-25, coming off a 120-105 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, where Karl-Anthony Towns scored 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Knicks scoring and assists leader Jalen Brunson has been out since March 6 and isn’t expected to return until later this month or early April due to an ankle injury. The Knicks defeated the Hornets in their last two meetings: 125-101 on December 5 in Charlotte and 99-98 in late November at Madison Square Garden.
