The Charlotte Knights will open their 2025 season against the Gwinnett Stripers on Friday night at Truist Field, kicking off a three-game series and nine home games over a 10-day stretch. The weekend will begin with a Fan Fest from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Mint St., featuring live music, games, food, drinks, and photo ops. Friday’s Opening Knight game will also include a fireworks show and a rally towel giveaway.
On Saturday night, the Knights will host Truist Field’s first-ever drone show and a full-team autograph session immediately following the game. The show will feature 150 drones with a “Baseball Night in Charlotte” theme, highlighting the city’s baseball history. The 10-to-12-minute show will be performed by Sky Elements, a Texas-based drone show company that holds several Guinness World Records.
Sunday’s day game will celebrate White Sox Day with a VIP appearance by former All-Star (2005) outfielder and World Series champion (2005), Scott Podsednik. The matinee game will also include a White Sox short-sleeve hoodie giveaway, a World Series trophy appearance, post-game kids base running, and a chance to win a free trip to Chicago.
The Knights, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, finished the 2024 season with a 68-79 record, eighth in the International League East Division. The Gwinnett Stripers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, finished 72-78 in their 2024 campaign, sixth in the International League West Division.
