The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra presents a special multi-sensory experience at Blume Studios, where music, light, and art converge in an exploration of nature’s power and fragility. At the heart of the evening is Become Ocean, John Luther Adams’s Pulitzer Prize-winning orchestral composition, inspired by the vast, shifting tides of the Pacific Northwest. Through waves of sound that rise and fall like the sea itself, the composition offers both a meditative escape and a poignant reflection on the impact of climate change. Dynamic light projections and a 360° spatial audio experience enhance the performance, transforming the space into an oceanic dreamscape. The journey also features GAIA, a stunning three-dimensional display of Earth, and Groundswell, an interactive installation that invites contemplation on humanity’s relationship with the planet.
