L.A. rapper Dom Kennedy returns to Charlotte this week following the release of his latest album, Class of 95, in October. One of the most influential modern independent West Coast rappers, Kennedy broke through with his 2010 mixtape, From the Westside with Love, which paved the way for his debut studio album, From the Westside with Love II, in 2011. Best known for his hits “Got It All,” “When I Come Around,”and “My Type of Party,” he has also collaborated with Nipsey Hussle, Kendrick Lamar, Ty Dolla $ign, Larry June, Freddie Gibbs, and the evening’s opening act, Casey Veggies. Kennedy independently distributes his music through his own label, Other People’s Money Company (OPM).

Casey Veggies, a founding member of the Los Angeles hip-hop collective Odd Future, is coming off his new album, Caught Up in The Game, released in December.
