Neighborhood Theatre and Music Everywhere CLT will host a special community screening of How to Save a Milestone on Sunday. Celebrating the history of the iconic music venue, the 90-minute documentary (directed by North Carolina filmmaker Jason Arthurs and journalist Liz McLaughlin), tells the story of the battle to preserve the historic Milestone Club, which has hosted bands like Nirvana, R.E.M., Violent Femmes, and The Flaming Lips over the past 50 years.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the screening at 6:00 p.m., followed by a panel discussion featuring the filmmakers and local independent venue owners.
