Comedians Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan bring their co-headlining arena tour to Charlotte this week at Spectrum Center. Following a successful four-arena tour last year, the two comedy giants will perform on the same bill together for the first time in the Carolinas.
Seinfeld, whose three kids — Sascha, Julian, and Shepherd — have all graduated from or are attending Duke University in Durham, last performed in Charlotte at Ovens Auditorium in 2018. Gaffigan, who recently starred in the Seinfeld-directed film Unfrosted, last performed in Charlotte in 2023 on his Barely Alive Tour.
Seinfeld is, of course, best known for co-creating and starring in the sitcom Seinfeld (1989-1998), building his career as a stand-up comedian with his dry, observational humor. He is also the creator of the Netflix series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
Gaffigan is coming off his latest comedy special, The Skinny, released on Hulu. The Grammy-nominated comedian, known for his clean, self-deprecating humor about food, fatherhood, and everyday life, has released several acclaimed specials, including Beyond the Pale (2006), King Baby (2009), Mr. Universe (2012), and Obsessed (2014). He has also written bestselling books like Dad Is Fat (2013) and Food: A Love Story (2014).
