Americana singer-songwriter and musician, Jim Lauderdale, returns to Charlotte this week following the release of his latest album, My Favorite Place, in June. Lauderdale has written songs for George Strait, Elvis Costello, Blake Shelton, the Dixie Chicks, Vince Gill, and Patty Loveless, winning a Grammy (Best Bluegrass Album) for his 2002 collaboration with Ralph Stanley, Lost in the Lonesome Pines. Lauderdale was also the inaugural winner of the Americana Music Association’s Artist of the Year in 2002.
