Hickory, North Carolina native comedian and actor, Jon Reep, will perform four stand-up shows at The Comedy Zone in Charlotte this week. Gaining national attention after winning NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2007, he is best known for his role as Raymus in Harold and Kumar: Escape From Guantanamo Bay. Reep released his latest stand-up special, Ginger Beard Man, in 2017, and a comedy album, Ginger Pain, in 2019.

A graduate of NC State, Reep also has a funny connection to the Carolina Panthers. In their inaugural football game in 1995 at Clemson, he was invited on the field by Sir Purr to dance, but he mistakenly got arrested.
