Disco and funk icons KC and the Sunshine Band bring their timeless ’70s hits like “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “Shake Your Booty,” and “Boogie Shoes” to Charlotte’s Ovens Auditorium this week. Founded in 1973 by Harry Wayne Casey (KC), the band has entertained audiences worldwide for over 37 years, selling more than 100 million records. Despite disco’s decline in the early ’80s, KC and the Sunshine Band have remained a staple of party playlists across the globe.
