Keb’ Mo’, the Grammy-winning Americana and blues artist, is back on the road this spring, touring alongside his longtime friend Shawn Colvin.
Keb’ Mo’ has had a long, diverse musical career spanning decades, blending blues, folk, and Americana. He began his journey as a calypso drummer and backing musician in the ’70s for Papa John Creach, Bobby “Blue” Bland, and “Big” Joe Turner. By the ’90s, he had established himself as a blues artist, collaborating with legends like Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, and Mavis Staples. His 2020 album Oklahoma earned him his fifth Grammy, winning for Best Americana Album.
Shawn Colvin, best known for her hit “Sunny Came Home,” which won Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the 1998 Grammy Awards, also earned accolades for her 1989 debut album Steady On, which won Best Contemporary Folk Album. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous artists, including James Taylor, Emmylou Harris, Bruce Hornsby, Steve Earle, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
