Lil Wayne will reunite with the Hot Boys, Manny Fresh, and Birdman for his Lil Weezyana Tour, coming to Charlotte’s Spectrum Center on Sunday, February 23. The reunion tour comes off Lil Wayne’s seventh annual Lil Weezyana Fest that took place at the Smoothie King Center in Louisiana in November. This will be the first time all of the original Cash Money Records artists will perform on the same stage in the Carolinas since 2000.

The Hot Boys, a New Orleans rap group formed in the ’90s under Cash Money Records, rose to prominence with their debut project, Get It How U Live!, in 1997. They followed it with their platinum-selling sophomore album, Guerrilla Warfare, in 1999, which featured the hits “I Need a Hot Girl” and “We on Fire.”

The Hot Boys disbanded in the early 2000s, but their influence on Southern hip-hop remains undeniable, credited with popularizing the “bling-bling” era of rap and shaping the sound of modern hip-hop with their innovative beats by producer Manny Fresh.

The Big Tymers, the New Orleans duo consisting of rapper and record executive Birdman and producer Mannie Fresh, are best known for their multiple early 2000s hits “Still Fly,” “Get Your Roll On,” and “Number One Stunna.”

Juvenile last performed in Charlotte with his live band in September and Lil Wayne brought his Welcome to Tha Carter Tour to the Queen City for a memorable 4/20 performance in 2023.
