Mint 2 Move Cultural Dance Night returns to the Mint Museum Uptown celebrating the Lunar New Year with dragon dance performances in collaboration with the Manera Foundation, a non-profit empowering immigrants, refugees and underrepresented communities through cultural exchange. The evening will also feature Afro-Latin dance and storytelling presented by Casa de la Cultura.
The music portion of the event will pay tribute to icons like Aretha Franklin and Celia Cruz with DJ Carlos Lebron and the Mint 2 Move Percussionists. There will also be dance lessons by Rumbao Latin Dance Company at 9:00 p.m., live painting by local artists, and a cash bar.
