Charlotte’s Modern Moxie will celebrate the release of their new album, Tripping the Light Fantastic, Saturday night at Snug Harbor. The indie rock band fronted by singer-songwriter and musician Madison Lucas have been busy over the past year, opening for Echo and The Bunnymen (The Fillmore), The Aces (The Underground), and The Dollyrots (Neighborhood Theatre). The new album follows their 2019 debut, Claw Your Way Out, and 2022 EP, Gutter Honey.
The band is also expected to unveil a music video for the song, “RPG,” inspired by John Carpenter’s science fiction horror film, They Live, filmed at Super Abari Game Bar. Modern Moxie have released three singles from the forthcoming album in 2024: “Churning,” “Don’t Look at Me,” and “Live a Fantasy.”
Willa Mae is a singer-songwriter and musician from Knoxville, Tennessee who released her debut album, Kids, in 2020. Mae has dropped two new singles in 2024: “Flirt with the Idea” and “Gisele.”
Brizb is an up-and-coming indie rock singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Charlotte best known for her singles “tangerines” and “right.”
