The Carolinas Asian American Chamber of Commerce presents their first networking event of the year. Network After Work brings together business owners and professionals to socialize, expand your network, and enjoy some great food and drinks.
The event will take place at Open Rice Asian Kitchen, located in the Metropolitan shopping center (1100 Metropolitan Avenue). The restaurant, founded in 2019 by Bryan Li and Jason Cheung—who met while attending UNC Charlotte—specializes in both traditional and modern Asian cuisine, paying homage to their Hong Kong roots.
With an expansive menu featuring everything from classic roast duck and Cantonese-style barbecue to a variety of noodle soups, clay pot dishes, and dim sum (served daily during lunch hours), it’s a Charlotte eatery that truly honors its name. In Cantonese, “Open Rice” is an expression said before enjoying a meal with loved ones — a colloquial phrase that literally means “start the meal.”
Your ticket purchase will include a special menu that will feature Har Gow (shrimp dumplings), Beef Chow Fun, shrimp and Char Siu fried rice, Shumai, Typhoon Shelter Soft Shell Crab, bok choy, Thai chili eggplant, and more. Non-alcoholic beverages and wine will also be included.
The event is open to all, but to purchase the member ticket, you must be a current CAACC member. You can learn more about the event and purchase tickets here.
