Sometime in February is an instrumental progressive-rock trio consisting of guitarist Tristan Auman, drummer Scott Barber, and bassist Morgan Johnson. The Carolina-based band began as Auman’s solo project, releasing his debut EP Here Goes alongside several studio musicians. Following the release, Barber and Johnson joined as permanent members, and in 2023, the band released their debut album, There Goes.
In February 2024, they signed with German progressive rock label InsideOut Music, and the trio recorded a new album, Where Mountains Hide, with producer Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me) last summer. They’ll celebrate the album release this week at Snug Harbor with Bridgeburner, Mindvac, and Jordyn Zaino.
Mindvac is a Charlotte-based progressive metal band consisting of drummer Garrett Herzfeld, guitarist Syd Little, and bassist Andy Cummins. They released their debut self-titled EP in May of 2023.
Bridge Burner is a North Carolina hardcore band that released their debut self-titled EP in January.
Jordyn Zaino is a genre-fluid indie experimental rock singer-songwriter whose music is reminiscent of artists like Adult Mom and Nilüfer Yanya. She released a live recording titled Who We Weren’t in 2022.”
